"Mushara lodge has the amazing stylish decor, in both the central areas and the rooms. The staff were very welcoming.

The only thing we felt let the place down was the quality of the food." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Another lovely location and feel to this lodge, the chalets in a lightly wooded setting with Damara dik-dik and steinbok around the site.

Very handy for the east side of Etosha - like many of the other places on this trip we'd have no hesitation in staying here again." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Mushara Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 2 Sep 2022
"An excellent lodge with superb rooms and wonderful staff.

Convenient for the National Park through the Eastern gate. The lodge provided game drives are well worth the additional and reasonable cost, so leave your car behind - the ranger/guide (Imelda) is excellent and has a good network of fellow drivers in the Park to optimise game viewing. We saw a pride of lions stalking an Eland and to follow that a Leopard in daylight (!) observing and stalking zebra/springbok. This plus many others which to be honest would be missed if self driving.

Food is excellent and the lodge small enough to give an intimate feel to the stay - would definitely return here should we be lucky enough to visit the area again. Thoroughly recommended" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 6n in South Africa

"Mushara Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 29 Jun 2022
"There was absolutely nothing wrong with our stay at Mushara Lodge, and yet somehow none of us would choose to return. The location was pretty good for our first visit to Etosha...we stayed for 2 nights before moving on to Okaukuejo, and were able to go out for an afternoon game drive just after we arrived. Our guide Johannes was great once he'd got warmed up, and was both knowledgable and patient, although one game drive in Etosha was all we needed to get the hang of things before self-driving for the remainder of our time in the park.

The lodge felt strangely impersonal, although the staff we had the chance to chat with were always friendly. The decor is certainly beautiful, and the rooms were amongst the loveliest of anywhere we stayed during our trip but we were really chilly in the dining area, despite the blankets they provided. The food was consistently good, despite the lack of flexibility around timing and choice and we really appreciated the singing we were treated to one evening.

A couple of small notes: the wifi available in the main area here was so slow as to be unworkable and we made the mistake of using the laundry service without checking the pricing carefully enough...ouch!" See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia

"Great location just outside the eastern end of Etosha. Lovely chalet and a nice pool.

A bit impersonal and with little interaction with the staff.

The only place we stayed where we were charged for the drinking water in our room." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Good location near Etosha"

2 nights Arrived 8 Oct 2019
"Air conditioning in the room was most welcome, as were the home made cookies!

This was our least favourite of the places we stayed, although it was still really nice. Didn’t like the fact that the evening meal was at the same time for everyone - playing the jungle drums to call you there but not everyone showed up at the same time so you have to wait & it was 20 minutes before they then served the starter. Also, there was no choice, although it was better the second night when they did a barbecue.

Staff not as friendly here in comparison to the others where everyone was happy to say good morning. Only place that didn’t do afternoon tea." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia

"Exceptional place, exceptional service and food!

only comment: private Safari could be better, the guide was not as lively as what we experienced in all the other lodges (and we decided as a result to cancel one activity and do it on our own)" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
