The meandering Rufiji River lies at the heart of Nyerere National Park

It forms a complex network of channels, lakes and swamps.

It is a great place for game viewing...

...as well as admiring the beautiful scenery.

Wild dogs can be spotted...

...and also herds of elephant.

Nyerere National Park also has an extraordinary birdlife...

...with over 440 species.

...and elephants as they come down to the river.

Nyerere National Park is worth a visit.

"Honemoon Trip 2013"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 26 Jan 2013 and 8 Feb 2013
"Overall this was an incredible experience and we have some amazing memories. Safari was great and Zanzibar very relaxing. We are extremely happy with our trip. Expert Africa organized everything for us very smoothly, all the preparation prior to the trip and the journey itself has been planned excellent. We will definitely refer to Expert Africa on our next trip to Africa.

One additional comment, when checking out from Mchanga Beach Lodge, we've realized that some of our money (rather big amount) was missing. We're not sure when and where this exactly could have happened, so we don't want to make any accusations. We kept it the money all the time in the safe provided by Impala Camp or Mchanga Beach Lodge. Thus, we worry that it has been taken from there at one of the places.

The transfers on Zanzibar was done by ECO Tours. We had the same driver for all our trips and he also organized us a Spice Tour. We were very happy with the local service. The driver was friendly and reliable." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 5 on a Tanzania safari

"Tanzania 2013"

I visited Tanzania between 4 Jan 2013 and 22 Jan 2013
"Emmanauel our guide for the first ten days. Excellent. Very experienced. Wide knowledge of the bush and hte country. Pleasant travelling companion. Very anxious to pelase.
Vehicle - very good. Claire had managed to arrange winding windows for us . Essential for my husband's photography.

Emmanuel is to be highly recommended.

Claire is thanked for an excellent programme yet again. We identified 48 different mammals. 266 different birds!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Keep up the contacts with places that we visited. They all spoke very highly of Expert Africa. They liked the fact that the staff actually stay at the camps rather than just calling in for a couple of hours." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 18 on a Tanzania safari

"My Dec 2012 trip"

I visited Tanzania between 27 Dec 2012 and 6 Jan 2013
"Another wonderful trip, our 12th (!) with Expert Africa. This was probably the simplest to arrange - thank you Ellie.

Although Mwagusi lost one paw in the marking for the temperature of the food it was definitely our favourite of the two camps - to the extent that Jane cried on having to leave!

Trip 13 is booked and 14 in the planning stages!

"We - wife, self and 9 yr. old daughter, had a great time - a very good experience. Agent recommendations were not good for Kholle house, and very good for Unguja Lodge.

Coastal aviation and local driver through in country agent were all seamless." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 7 on a Zanzibar holiday

"Ruaha-a Dream come true"

I visited Tanzania between 15 Nov 2012 and 30 Nov 2012
"A superb safari which expert africa helped put together at short notice with several changes (Thankyou Angela), which enabled us to return to Tanzania with some intrepidation (could it still be as good ?). It was even better and whilst there are some issues in the modern world of conservation, we were thrilled with our experiences and the enthruing discussions around the fireplace in the evenings.

The most lions we have seen in 20 years of visiting Africa and these parks are a great place to see them.
