"My Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Kenya between 18 Feb 2022 and 2 Mar 2022
"Overall this trip was excellent. With the addition of Valley it was exactly the same as we experienced in 2020, although the weather was noticeably wetter than two years ago. However that in no way diminished the experience of visiting the Maasai Mara.

We should mention the help provided by Richard Trillo in organising the trip. Richard was very helpful particularly when BA decided to drop our return flight at very short notice. He also was very patient with the myriad of requests from us regarding the documentation required by the Kenyan authorities which seemed almost to vary on a day to day basis. His help in ensuring that we met their requirements was much appreciated. Hopefully those days are numbered.

We have total confidence in Richard and EA in organising these trips for us.

We should make the point that the BA staff at Heathrow T5 were extremely well organised in terms of checking that our documentation met the Kenyan requirements. I'm not sure that the same could be said for their opposite numbers at JKIA.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The service that EA provides is exemplary, we do not see any room for improvement." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 11 on a Kenya safari

"Mara North Conservancy Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Kenya between 18 Feb 2022 and 27 Feb 2022
"As always, a very pleasant experience working with Expert Africa to get the best trip that we can.

I tend to know what i want from a trip and arrangements are made very quickly and very efficiently.

There is always plenty of advice to listen to and this helps knowing that your talking to actual experts that live and breath the destinations your looking at.

Its always good to catch up with Richard and he works very very hard to make your plans a reality.

I would highly recommended Expert Africa to anyone looking to book a trip to Africa, i know i wont be using anyone else.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
There is nothing I can suggest to improve the Expert Africa service or suggestions to improve the trips i have booked through them.

It just works and it works so you have zero concerns from getting on the plane to getting to camp and all the ground service in-between, it all just works and that matters when you want to maximise your time on holiday and Expert Africa understand that and that's why they are so good at what they do.

Thanks Richard and Expert Africa for another wonderful trip and for all your time and effort in making this happen." Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"My Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Kenya between 15 Feb 2022 and 26 Feb 2022
"Thank you for your assistance in creating this trip for me on short notice. I so enjoyed the camps and the areas that I visited since they were definitely different from my previous trips. I really appreciate you listening to my requests and arranging camps that met my criteria - most certainly the conservation part and assisting the surrounding the communities. Thank you Lyndsey.
I am sorry about the hiccup at the end of my trip. I was nervous about getting the test results back in time to get to the airport. As usual, the airport was a challenge - I stood in the line with KLM signage, and when I get to the checkin counter, they say I need to go to another counter, where the signs say, they are closed....
I walked up anyway and asked to be assisted, and luckily the gate person did so.....
Thank you again, and I expect to return in May - just giving you a heads up..... :)" Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 11 on a Kenya safari

"My Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Kenya between 10 Feb 2022 and 17 Feb 2022
"This was booked as our honeymoon and was a fantastic trip with many once in a lifetime experiences.

Claire at Expert Africa was excellent at securing a room at giraffe manor for us, making enquiries with Kicheche, arranging PCR tests etc. This is the 2nd time I have used Expert Africa and will do so again.

As someone who has travelled in Africa many times over many years I tend to do my own research and know where I want to stay but I have spoken with other tourists who have really appreciated the advice they received from Expert Africa in putting together their own holidays and choosing the right place to stay for them." "My Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Kenya between 4 Feb 2022 and 18 Feb 2022
"This trip was for our honeymoon and it was perfect!

I usually like to book holidays direct but going through Expert Africa was invaluable - the advice and the value for money very worth it.

The highlight was the safari and Naboisho camp was really something special. We saw everything we could have hoped for, ate fantastic food and had an amazing time. We then moved onto Kinondo Kwetu which is a lovely rustic boutique beach hotel. It’s a stunning setting, with 5* food and amazing staff. I’d highly recommend this trip and we really hope to do it again one day." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 13 on a Kenya safari

"My Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Kenya between 2 Feb 2022 and 17 Feb 2022
"Yet another fantastic safari, organised with the usual unsurpassed expertise by Expert Africa. The Kicheche camps are amazing and provide an unforgettable experience with extraordinary concentrations of grazers and predators whilst the little known Kulalu Camp nestling on the banks of the wild Galana River in the hot dry bush country of the coastal belt provides an exciting contrast with different fauna, flora and a wild edge. All the camps I re-visited are just as I remembered them from previous visits with the added bonus of genuine renewed friendships and the usual warm welcomes.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I am always happy to recommend Expert Africa to fellow travellers, and although I generally deal with Richard Trillo I can say that everyone I speak to at Expert Africa is just as friendly and helpful.

A great company with great people! I look forward to planning my next trip!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 10 on a Kenya safari

The trip had been postponed once because of Covid so I'd waited a long time and was in danger of being disappointed but, really, it was much better than I'd hoped or even imagined.

"Our Jan/Feb 2022 trip"

I visited Tanzania and 2 other countries between 24 Jan 2022 and 1 Mar 2022
"We had a fantastic trip covering three East Africa countries, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. We stayed at two camps in each country along with extra days at each end of the trip in Kigali and Dar. Each country is different and has their own culture.

Rwanda was the cleanest country we have ever been to. Even way out from towns people are sweeping the roadsides and trimming vegetation. The Gorillas and Golden Monkeys were great to visit.

Kenya and Tanzania were the greenest countries, recent rains. The quantities of wildlife are incredible. The guides in both countries were excellent and transportation between camps was easy and convenient.

Everywhere we went we felt very welcome.

"Kenya, January-February 2022"

I visited Kenya between 15 Jan 2022 and 2 Feb 2022
"Logistics for travel in Africa can always present their challenges, but when coupled with rapidly changing conditions and regulations in the wake of a pandemic, using a seasoned travel professional to help you piece all the parts of your trip together has never been more critical.

Richard Trillo was extremely responsive to all of our concerns (not to mention more than one panic attack following another sleepless night over whether we’d even be able to take this trip). With the experience and steady guiding hand of Expert Africa, our trip to Kenya, at a time when concerns about COVID continued into a third year, proceeded close to seamlessly. And once in the bush, there were even times when we felt almost a return to a sense of normality.

Thank you for helping us with a vacation that we needed even more desperately than I had imagined.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No, your services are excellent, and we will not hesitate to contact you again for future travel plans to Africa." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 17 on a Kenya safari
