"Trip of a lifetime"

I visited Kenya and 1 other country between 4 Aug 2017 and 24 Aug 2017
"The trip we organised with expert Africa was unforgettable - hugely well planned and happened seamlessly leaving us free to soak up the incredible experiences. But the planning of the trip was also enjoyable! I loved talking to Richard and felt he was a very real person responding to our needs as a family rather than pushing us in the old well trodden directions.

When there was a very minor hiccup with a hotel booking (not the fault of Expert Africa but a mistake Africa side) Richard called our guide and spoke to us to ensure everything was OK. Top service.

I can't recommend him highly enough." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 14 on a Kenya safari

"My Jul 2017 trip"

I visited Kenya between 2 Jul 2017 and 9 Jul 2017
"An excellent trip, when I asked my grandson [age 10] what was the best part of the trip, without hesitation, he said "James the guide". I would not hesitate to recommend him." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"A great trip"

I visited Kenya between 23 Jun 2017 and 2 Jul 2017
"Can't thank Richard enough for his advice and the way he set the trip up. We were really pleased with all aspects of the holiday. I can quite understand why Richard is so keen on the Conservancies and the Kicheche camps.

I can't actually think of any way in which the trip could have gone off more smoothly.

We were very impressed with Southern Cross and the Eka hotel and the transfers went like a dream. All the managers and staff at both camps were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. As for the game, and particularly cat sightings. Wow! 2500 plus photos after initial editing says it all.

In conclusion, the highest praise I can give is that if we decide to do a similar trip we'll be contacting Richard and Expert Africa to organise it with every confidence!" Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 8 on a Kenya safari

"May 2017 Second Trip to Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 3 May 2017 and 10 May 2017
"This is the second trip I took with Expert Africa with Richard Trillo's help to Kenya.

I chose to return to the same places because I enjoyed myself so much the first time and felt a home and among family with those who worked at the places I stayed. Excellent service with attention to detail. I felt safe the whole time I travelled.

My driver Edward, at the end of my trip, picked me up at Safari Link and took care of me in Nairobi till I went to airport to fly home.

I would return again to the same places." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"A good introduction to Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 11 Mar 2017 and 18 May 2017
"Although I have travelled extensively in Africa, it was my first time in Kenya. I'd shied away, mostly worried about huge crowds around sightings. This trip helped dispel that view: it is possible to go to Kenya (so convenient if you only have a short amount of time!) and enjoy the best it has offer in beautiful, remote areas.

Both Kicheche camps were were excellent; I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

And special thanks to Expert Africa for rearranging my itinerary at the last minute, due to safety concerns. I should emphasise that there was absolutely no reason to worry in Ol Pejeta in Laikipia." Read full review: 68 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"Safari Kenya & Tanzania + Zanzibar"

I visited Tanzania and 2 other countries between 9 Mar 2017 and 24 Mar 2017
"Our Agent, Richard Trillio did a great job helping us put together a Safari in three different environments, first at the Mara Plains Camp where we got a feeling of the wildlife at the plains then see the massive number of animals that are in the migration at Alex Walker`s Serian South Serengeti Camp and at last see the uniqueness of the environment at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and having a great introduction to wild animals at our arrival at Africa in Nairobi while staying at Giraffe Manor and then the more relaxed ending of our trip while enjoying the quietness and the beach at The Palms Zanzibar. Thank you!!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

"A brilliant trip..."

I visited Kenya and 1 other country between 2 Feb 2017 and 20 Feb 2017
"As we usually travel indepenently it was nice to have everything arranged... the only irritation being waiting about for other guests and in one case being paired up with a couple (at Mwagusi) who had very different interests... this was resolved when we tactfully mentioned it to management...

Given our criteria, Expert Africa put together a varied and comprehensive package in Kenya and Tanzania, covering virtually all East African animals and a wide range of terrain and habitats....  Everything worked well, connections and drivers were all perfect....

I would recommend Expert Africa for excellent and worry free safari experience..." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 10 on a Kenya safari

"My January 2017 safari experince"

I visited Kenya between 26 Jan 2017 and 7 Feb 2017
"My January 2017 safari experience was the best ever. I wanted to stay at the Mara Kicheche camps because of their great reputation and they lived up to expectations for wildlife and service. All 3 camps were extremely well run and each has its own character so dividing time between them works very well, The walking safari and fly-camp provides an added dimension which I would recommend to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. It can be hot so you need to carry water. Catering in fly-camp is good. The wildlife at all three camps is amazing, and not just the big cats. Birdlife and small animals abound too. The conservancy model is definitely the way forward and it's a privilege to be in the heart of such a wildlife haven. The level of service and catering is superb." "My Jan 2017 trip"

I visited Kenya between 22 Jan 2017 and 5 Feb 2017
"One of the concerns before starting this trip was that expectations were high and we may be disappointed. That did not happen; the trip exceeded all expectations. The camps and hotels we stayed were fabulous with very welcoming staff who genuinely seemed to care that our stay was more than just being satisfactory. They each had their appeal and purpose and we could not have ask for anything more. The safaris were all great; we are glad we did the conservancies after to talking to other travellers and the guides at every location were top notch. The initial wish list of places to visit was too extensive for a 2 week trip, and the scope had to be decreased. But I am very happy with the places we finally settled on and look forward to seeing more of Kenya (and Africa) in the future.

I cannot say enough about how well logistically everything went and attribute that to Richard at Expert Africa who made the arrangements. I always expect something to go wrong when traveling; it is just the nature of the beast. But I have never had any trip go as smoothly as this one did. We were picked up/dropped off as expected; flights went well; the activities went off with a hitch and were so much fun; and our preferences for food and lodging were always met by the camps. It was a flawless vacation.

We plan on returning to Africa in the future and will return to Expert Africa to help with these plans." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 12 on a Kenya safari
