"Trip of a lifetime"

I visited Kenya and 4 other countries between 24 Jun 2019 and 7 Aug 2019
"We have been to Africa before with Expert Africa and we knew what we wanted to see this time.

We then spent a long time with Richard Trillo and his team discussing options and then left it to him to put together an extended trip to hopefully tick all the boxes on our wish list.

ALL BOXES TICKED, this was a fantastic journey through 5 African countries, we have seen and experienced so much, so a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Expert Africa for arranging this for us.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No, just carry on doing what you're doing now - it would be very hard to improve what you're already doing so well." Read full review: 44 nights in Africa; 17 on a Kenya safari

"My Jun 2019 trip"

I visited Tanzania and 4 other countries between 7 Jun 2019 and 13 Jul 2019
"Our information and discourse was always with Maruska who was meticulous, knowledgeable and detailed in the planning with regard to our trip. We cannot thank her enough for the planning that was executed flawlessly, that reduced the anxiety of the multitude of transfer and connection flights that occurred within our itinerary.

The execution on the ground and air by the operators was flawless and any oddities that occurred were developments that could not be predicted by Expert Africa or their employees. Updates are required by direct observation and on site verification. We hope that we have provided them for you in this review in an objective manner that is factual without any bias or drama. Of course, there are always two sides to a story and after submission of our comments to any of the operators, if there is a discrepancy of the events that occurred, we are happy to respond or reply in kind. Our comments are also documented by photos of the elephants on the walkways and streets near the Vic Falls Hotel and in the case of the excessive call to prayer by the Imam near the Machweo hotel, we have a live, timed recording to document this annoyance.

Otherwise, it would be hard to improve upon the suggestion of camps recommended by Maruska in the Kalahari or Zambia for the quality of service and most importantly, for the wildlife that was observed.

We think we are seasoned travelers and it is not often that we would ever lavish such praise upon a an individual or company that helped us so much with the arrangements but Expert Africa and Maruska are to be commended. So please accept our sincerest thanks for an itinerary well planned and executed. If Maruska can put in the time and effort to plan this trip, we can certainly take the time and effort to evaluate in kind. Thank you.

Greg & Kathy

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service: We never looked at brochures, website or general literature etc. from Expert Africa. Perhaps we missed something. I think we have already given our suggestions in this extensive evaluation process on how to improve such trips. Fortunately, there was not much need for that." "My May 2019 trip"

I visited Rwanda and 1 other country between 16 May 2019 and 24 May 2019
"Our trip was absolutely fabulous, from the accommodations to the food to the experiences!

Maruska is simply phenomenal; she goes above and beyond to answer all possible questions and to ensure each client has the trip of a lifetime.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The only suggestion I have with respect to trips to Rwanda is to provide a bit more guidance on the tipping etiquette. While the information provided on the website was quite helpful on the amount to give the various folks involved in a successful trek, my husband and I didn't realize the number of folks involved in each trek, and therefore, didn't bring enough USD.

It would be helpful to note how many rangers, trackers, etc. to expect on a trek (on average) to assist with this element of planning." Read full review: 8 nights in Africa; 4 on a Rwanda safari

"Wonderful... Beats UK in February!"

I visited Kenya between 26 Feb 2019 and 12 Mar 2019
"Kenya was fabulous. Highspots were Sarara Camp in general (a whole list of things), the fab Villa at Saruna Mara ( terrific staff); Peponi (just being there...). And hotel One Forty Eight in Nairobi was a superb place to arrive at after a long flight...

We were especially impressed by the cheerful helpfulness of all the Kenyan people we met, in all the places we stayed- and in between.

Plus- the weather was perfect...." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 13 on a Kenya safari

"My Feb 2019 trip"

I visited Kenya between 16 Feb 2019 and 24 Feb 2019
"Hugely successful trip with everything i asked for accommodated.

Plenty of positive dialogue to get the itinerary i wanted with welcome information from Expert Africa on things such as Internal flight Freight seat for extra luggage weight and option for staying at Nairobi Tented Camp to start my trip off. Every aspect of the trip worked with nothing left to chance.

All pickups were there on time and i had no concerns that i would have to organise anything once i landed." Read full review: 8 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"Great 2 week safari during the migration "

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 6 Feb 2019 and 19 Feb 2019
"We had a wonderful trip. It was our first safari in east Africa and something we will do again. In the past we have self driven and we were wary of being with a guide but Esto was excellent and knowledgeable. In particular he did not join large groups of vehicles around the big ticket wildlife causing them stress but drove on and found us something else that we could watch quietly." "Meru and Amboseli trip"

I visited Kenya between 2 Feb 2019 and 10 Feb 2019
"We really enjoyed visiting these two contrasting parks, and Meru in particular would definitely be on our wish list for a return visit one day.

It was also an interesting change to stay at two camps with non-communal dining which were slightly larger than those we have visited in the past; both were beautifully located and extremely comfortable although as noted we were relieved neither was full to capacity which I think would have given them quite a different vibe."
