"Namibia adventure"

I visited Namibia between 17 Sep 2016 and 6 Oct 2016
"This was a great trip.

The first two weeks were sightseeing rather than a traditional safari, but the photo opportunities were fabulous, Wilderness is a bit corporate for us, but extremely well organised, with great guiding. You cant fault Wilderness, but for us not a traditional safari experience. For a traditional safari that challenges mind and body mundulea is a must on the list. Where you can fly between camps, fly, the distances are huge

This is our 10th safari. In total we saw 34 mammals, 13 new species. if you are going for animals you need to be more patient in Namibia than other African countries. But every fabulous, iconic grumpy black rhino you see makes the wait worth while.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

When you are paying so much money for a trip, you want to make sure everything is 100%, occasionally we felt that we were being a bother as we were having to repeat questions. however Tracy was always a pleasure to deal with" Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 18 on a Namibia trip

"An amazing experience"

I visited Namibia between 10 Sep 2016 and 25 Sep 2016
"This was a fantastic trip- thanks to Meghan and Tom who put it together for us. We are really glad we stayed 2 nights in Okonjima and would recommend this to others. Okuakuejo didn't fit with the feel of the rest of the trip. The draft trip had 2 nights in Okuakuejo and we only stated in Hobatere as there weren't 2 nights available in Okaukuejo - Hobatere was much nicer. It also had the advantage which we didn't appreciate until we got there of allowing us to drive through Etosha from west to east- this was an amazing experience.

Chish McIntyre's book was really useful for advice on tips etc but his best advice was to just drive from waterhole to waterhole through Etosha. We did this and the experience was almost indescribable.

I was worried about the roads and getting petrol along the way. The roads were scary to begin with but once we drove at a reasonable speed and were sensible they were fine. I really got into driving on them and was almost disappointed when we hit tar around Etosha!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"African Adventure 2016"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 9 Sep 2016 and 2 Oct 2016
"We have come to expect wonderful holidays when organised by Expert Africa and once again we were delighted. From our first chat to Tracy until we got this form our holiday was all we expected it to be.

We only wish it could have been longer - a couple of days more at Bushman's Kloof (to take advantage of their 4 nights for the price of 3) and an extra night at Augrabies Falls. We wonder if staying inside Etosha is not for us anymore as standards do not improve - although the accommodation was fine in both Dolomite and Okaukuejo.

Thanks Tracy we had a fantastic holiday!" Read full review: 23 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia holiday 2016"

I visited Namibia between 6 Sep 2016 and 21 Sep 2016
"We had a great trip.

The roads were very variable, but we stuck to the route planned for us and felt we'd had the best option.

The yellow sheet provided with restaurants and cafes, was useful. please note the Camelthorn Beer garden no longer exists! The couple have divorced.

WE had lunch in Otijwrongo at Kari's ,Hindenburg street which was excellent and a good replacement, same directions would find it! The Farmhouse deli inThe Strand Hotel in Swakopmund was a real find too." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"Our African Adventure"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 5 Sep 2016 and 27 Sep 2016
"This was our first visit to Southern Africa and it exceeded our expectations.

Sabina had given us a great itinerary and set of accommodation, with sound advice about distances and what to see. In retrospect we would not have spent two nights at Camp Kwando, but more in the panhandle. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to do it again.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

A list of where the ATMs are located would be useful.
Note that bird/animal guide books are not readily available at the lodges. Suggest that customers buy them before travelling.

Clarify the cross border permit instructions for vehicles from Namibia to Botswana.

Note that Zimbabwe now charges US$55 for UK residents visitor permit whereas EU members generally are charged US$30." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia Adventure- Holiday of a Lifetime."

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 27 Aug 2016 and 21 Sep 2016
"We thoroughly enjoyed the trip; it met all of our expectations, for country and wildlife, and above at times. Namibia is a lovely country with nice people. The places we stayed at almost always got a "wow!" on arrival, what more can we say?

We would return very happily.

Fitting Victoria Falls in was good, but perhaps an expensive luxury." Read full review: 25 nights in Africa; 21 on a Namibia trip

"Zambia, Botswana & Namibia Aug-Sep 2016"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 19 Aug 2016 and 6 Sep 2016
"This was the first time EVER that we engaged a travel agent to arrange a trip... after visiting 54 countries doing our own organising.

On the downside, the intimate knowledge that I usually have of every trip was gone. For me, this is part of the fun of a trip, so I missed it... having to check the itinerary every time I wanted to know something, rather than simply recalling it.

On the upside, the reason we had decided to use an agent was the difficulties of organising smooth transfers and bookings in a relatively unique environment... and almost everything went like clockwork. Where there was a hitch (the hotel 'upgrade' in Livingstone; pick-up going to the wrong end of the trip in Kasane) it was nothing to do with the booking or agent.

Taken as a whole we enjoyed the holiday very much indeed. Naturally there were highlights - Doro Nawas, Chongwe River Camp and Chobe Under Canvas would be our top three - but small things, like the fascination of the Zambia / Namibia border crossing at Kazangula or the starkness of the road from Henties Bay to Uis, also stood out as hugely interesting."
