"Outstanding honeymoon and a wonderful country"

I visited Namibia between 21 Nov 2015 and 5 Dec 2015
"Although we have traveled in South Africa numerous times before, this was our first ever trip to Namibia, and we are extremely happy that we have chosen to go there for our honeymoon.

The entire trip was absolutely wonderful and memorable, with some of the camps that we stayed at being absolutely wonderful in terms of their location, activities, quality of service, friendliness and welcoming of the staff - these were Little Kulala, Desert Rhino Camp and Okonjima Plains Camp.

Everything was so finely organised by Expert Africa, we found the instructions, information so helpful and we really couldn't fault the preparation that we received from Sabina.

We will certainly be going back to Namibia, as we feel we only got to see such a small part of this wonderful, friendly and beautiful country.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Nothing really, as the service we received from Sabina was excellent." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"Another excellent trip to Africa"

I visited Namibia between 13 Nov 2015 and 30 Nov 2015
"We found Namibia to be really fascinating and we believe, how the trip was balanced, fully enhanced our experience of the country.

The format of guided tour, flights to the remotest parts of our trip and then the self drive enabled us to visit and appreciate a wide range of areas.

The guided part helped us to relax on some of the longest drives of the trip and also to gain understanding of all aspects of Namibia. Vernon our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. In addition to explaining some of the historical and cultural aspects of the areas we were visiting also provided tips and information which helped our self drive element. this was appreciated especially given that the handover for the vehicle was very basic.

The flights, both from the balloon and the light aircraft provided a different perspective of the landscape that we could not appreciate from the ground. The plane flights also avoided the long drive up to Damaraland, which would of been tiring and maybe where the landscape is less changeable.

The self drive gave us an experience that we have always wanted to do within Africa but never really felt able to do so. Driving around Namibia eliminated some of the dangers found in other parts of Africa but still provided the adventure that we were looking for.

The trip was varied both in terms of the activities, landscapes and camps and more than exceeded our expectations..

Overall a very enjoyable experience." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"My Nov 2015 trip"

I visited Namibia between 6 Nov 2015 and 21 Nov 2015
"A fantastic trip that surpassed our high expectations. I don't think that there is anything that we would have done differently.

The highlights were Erongo Wilderness Lodge, the drive across Etosha National Park, the drive down the Skeleton Coast, Swakopmund, the trip to Sandwich Harbour and last, but very definitely not least, Sossusvlei Desert Lodge.

Namibia proved a wonderful country to visit, with a very welcoming people, all of whom seemed to have a great sense of humour.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Namibia as a destination and Expert Africa as the company to organise a visit." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"My Nov 2015 trip"

I visited Namibia between 2 Nov 2015 and 17 Nov 2015
"An outstanding trip that exceeded all our expectations of scenery, animals, accomodation and welcome.

All the guides were good, but Francois at Hoanib and Suama at Kulala were outstanding - perhaps the best guides we ever have had. Francois in particular was keen to go the extra mile to make our trip special." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"Southern african tour"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 27 Oct 2015 and 18 Nov 2015
"This trip was a great introduction to Africa! The amount of preparation and information provided by Expert Africa meant that there was very little that we had to worry about, but still felt that we were in control of our own adventure.

Overall our highlights were exploring the sand dunes at Sossusvlei, our day trip out of Swakopmund to Sandwich Harbour, the wildlife at Etosha NP, the village life and waterways of the Caprivi Strip and the up close and personal experience of Camp Hwange.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We were incredibly impressed with the service we got from Maruska, she put together our trip at very short notice, was always quick to respond to emails, and seemed incredibly knowledgeable when we spoke to her on the phone. We would happily recommend her and Expert Africa to anyone wanting to book a trip to Africa." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 5 on a Namibia trip

"My Oct 2015 trip"

I visited Namibia between 25 Oct 2015 and 5 Nov 2015
"Overall this was a great trip, I was trying to be honest about some of the drawbacks. When we arrived at River Crossing I asked for a room with one large bed and they were able put us in another room.

I'm not sure if the other lodges had rooms other than two single beds pushed together, but for a married couple if that was something you could have requested it would have been appreciated.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I know people are looking for a deal on the rental car but you should probably be more persuasive about a 4X4." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 8 on a Namibia trip

"2015 trip to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 21 Oct 2015 and 5 Nov 2015
"Apart from disastrous car hire experience it was a fantastic trip and did exactly what I had set out to do - to show our friends Namibia.

I was particularly impressed with the Wilderness places where we stayed - I am currently writing an ILO training resource on global supply chain and employment and my sense was that Wilderness do well with increasing skills and capacity in Namibia. A big tick from us on that!

By rights the bad experience with the car hire should mean that the overall trip is rated as satisfactory but I feel that this reflects unfairly on the otherwise excellent trip and the effort Martha put in to planning the modalities of a trip I described to her. We think you have provided an excellent service but want you to take serious note of how unhappy and dissatisfied we are with the service from Budget - Namibia in Windhoek. We hope you will help us should my credit card be charged by Budget. We note that Which? rated Budget as the second lowest performing car hire company." "My Oct 2015 trip"

I visited Namibia between 19 Oct 2015 and 6 Nov 2015
"Our trip was fantastic and we didn't have to worry about a thing thanks to Tracy's excellent preparations on our behalf. This included advising us to check the spare tire in the back - and a good thing since we needed it.

Namibia is very beautiful with varied landscapes and friendly people - when you actually saw people! The itinerary was very well chosen and gave us a wonderful introduction to the country. Our accommodations were all very comfortable and made our trip very luxurious.

While Erongo Wilderness camp is really amazing and beautiful, all the tented rooms are not equal. Those at the bottom are nice in and of themselves, but have no views. We were a bit disappointed to be in one of these rooms considering we had booked well in advance, particularly since the camp manager mentioned to us that the day we arrived they had several walk-ins. This did not detract from our overall camp experience, which was really good." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip
