"Brilliant trip"

I visited Namibia between 17 Feb 2015 and 8 Mar 2015
"Enjoyed the diverse landscapes, vastness and quiet. Game experiences were excellent.

A 4x4 is in our opinion essential - from a comfort point of view as well as peace of mind. A good itinerary and next time we would have a few more 3 night stops, rather than 2 nights to allow us to see more and relax. Good overall standard of accommodation. No problems with navigation because of information and marked map provided.

An exhilarating experience." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 17 on a Namibia trip

Excellent organisation from Tracy particularly the last minute changes to our car reservation.

"NAMIBIA REVIEW"

I visited Namibia between 21 Jan 2015 and 3 Feb 2015
"Apart from the Car provided which was totally inadequate for the dirt roads Expert Africa come highly recommended. The trip was put together at very short notice and what was delivered was excellent.

The maps and general information provided when we arrived at Windhoek Airport were also excellent..

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Make people aware that there are 7 times more dirt roads than tar roads so be aware as to the type of car you choose" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip

"My Jan 2015 trip"

I visited Namibia between 19 Jan 2015 and 29 Jan 2015
"All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. It was a fantastic experience. We saw lots of different parts of Namibia.

There was a good balance between seeing animals, seeing different landscapes and experiencing different parts of Namibia.

Even the rain and lightning was something we will not forget." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"Africa is catching"

I visited Namibia between 1 Jan 2015 and 29 Jan 2015
"we have, we guess, become bitten by the Africa bug. We had a great time though we know that our measures of enjoyment are not necessarily those that others might use. This was our first trip to Namibia and it lived up to expectations. Stunning landscapes, extraordinarily nice people, a history that you should learn about to understand the place.... and for those that live in great cities, just amazingly empty. What will we remember? Sabina said to us that we shouldn't waste money on hiring a 4x4 but suggested we got a vehicle that had good ground clearance. We went with this.

On our drive back from Wolwedans to Windhoek, having still not seen any major rain, we had to drive over a small range of mountains, and on the way to the main pass I realised that it had rained here and the road was largely washed away. But we got over the pass and I said it should be easy from here.My partner took over as we drove down to the plains, and the we remembered that if it rains in the mountains, the water has to go somewhere. When we drove into the second bit of flooded road which seemed to run as far as we could see in front of us, we swapped driving again, and after a couple of hiccups, we got through. Thanks for your suggestion Sabina, in a VW Golf, we'd still be sitting in the middle of a fllor, and as you know, not many cars come along in Namibia ....... We will of course go back; the deep south around the Snake River is there to visit and then we'd like to go along the Caprivi into Botswana and Zambia....

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Our experience of Expert Africa is that you are content to let people work out their own routes for particular sections of a trip and then help with areas where they are less confident. It probably reduces your income but it means that we feel that you are helping us work out what we want to do, rather than just selling us a package. This is more like the old time 'outfitters' who helped you buy your kit and suggested the best routes, than a travel agent. It suits us well and makes us feel confident in following your advice.

Thanks Sabina and you helped us enjoy your country." Read full review: 28 nights in Africa; 28 on a Namibia trip

"Great time"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 6 Dec 2014 and 26 Dec 2014
"Trip was very good - near enough all went to plan. Roads(!) in Namibia often meant time taken to reach destinations was longer then expected. Apart from the issue with Budget car hire we also had an issue with the Wilderness transfer from Galton House to Windhoek airport. They were supposed to let us know (or if we had not arrived when they called then inform Galton House staff) the pick-up time for our Monday morning transfer. By early evening here had been no call I decide to call them - as it was Sunday there was only an answerphone message and out of hours number - which I rang and the chap apologised for not letting us know but confirmed pick-up time. Just a lapse but would have expected them to have called or how else would we have known?

Overall thought the choice and quality of food was disappointing - in some cases it may have been the lack of guests which prevented a buffet style choice but was often on offer was often restricted and poor quality - naturally game was included on most menus and the only alternative was 'vegetarian' which was mainly the same vegetables which were being used for the main course. Rice seemed to be the main starch available. There was also a lack of detailed information given on how the food was presented eg. broccoli was a main veg but it often came with a blue cheese on it and meat often had a sauce poured on it. Fortunately we made up for this with some excellent meals in Cape Town and the High Tea at the Cape Grace Hotel is highly recommended!

This was our first trip to Namibia which has some spectacular scenery and good game viewing but don't think we will be keen to return except perhaps to Etosha. We like to regard ourselves as fairly seasoned travellers but perhaps our expectations were too high - accommodation was generally good but food disappointing." "The trip of a lifetime, a perfect honeymoon."

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 17 Nov 2014 and 28 Nov 2014
"Our trip with Expert Africa was fantastic, it was the trip of a lifetime and we had so many unforgettable experiences along the way.

The agents we dealt with have all been very friendly and helpful, we received all the information we needed before our trip and every transfer/flight/pick-up along the way went seamlessly.

We would definitely book with Expert Africa again." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 7 on a Namibia trip

"Was Beyond Expectations!"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 7 Nov 2014 and 29 Nov 2014
"From the very beginning, Sabina could not have been more helpful and patient with 2 complete Africa novices!

The itinerary was beautifully constructed, never repeating experiences and building our excitement. There was not a day that we would have changed and many where we wished we had had longer.

The choice of accommodation suited us. The transfers, in fact everything, went smoothly.

It was an incredible holiday from beginning to end." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip
