"Mushara Bush Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 9 Aug 2014
"Initially we didn't want to stay in a camp outside the park gates but it didn't take long for Mushara to win us over. The camp was spacious with comfortable seating in the central area.

Staff were very friendly and high quality food was served along with a good selection of wines. The only disadvantage was that we had to leave our favourite waterhole 20 minutes early in order to be at the park gates before they closed. This is definitely a camp to visit again and again." "Mushara Bush Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 5 Aug 2014
"Mushara was probably our kids favourite place and it certainly excelled in all areas. The setting and camp are beautiful and it seems much more luxurious than some descriptions we had read before travelling.

The outdoor spaces and pool are beautiful and the camp exudes a sense of peace and tranquility. All staff were exceptionally friendly and very good with kids particularly Viktoria who spent time doing sand art with our kids. The food was probably the best we had on the trip. The warthogs hanging out on the lawn were a great bonus for us on our return from a trip to Etosha.

Only minor negative was that the game drive was a little disappointing but this probably reflects that having spent 2 days driving around Etosha ourselves we had come to realise you don't need a guide to see the wildlife" See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia

"We loved this place - the tented feeling and the care with which it was run.

The main communal area was a highlight, with welcoming fires and great food, and the tented rooms a delight. Lovely touches such as finding hot water bottles in our beds at night." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

1 night Arrived 20 Jul 2014
"Really enjoyed it here. Reception/restaurant area lovely. Food great.

Friendly service and nice touches such as homemade biscuits in tents as well as tea/coffee and hot water bottles. Very clean. A great stopover or base to enter Etosha from the east gate (although not in the park so wouldn't have the night waterhole experience).

Other than Okaukuejo, some of the best game we saw was at the east Etosha waterholes as we drove through." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia; 3n in Zimbabwe

"Mushara Bush Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 16 Jul 2014
"A delightful camp. The main building is attractive and open but has tented sides pulled down for evening in winter, which makes it cosy, especially with blankets to put over knees. Food is very good.

Staff are welcoming. Warthogs are often on the lawn and dik-diks can be seen in the grounds.

In winter, the tents can be rather cold at night so a morning shower can be bracing! The beds however are warm and comfortable, with hot water bottles put in before bed." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Mushara Bush Camp review"

1 night Arrived 10 Jul 2014
"Only 10 minutes from the Von Linquist Gate. We stayed here as Expert Africa had recently visited Namutomi Camp where we had originally booked and found there to be issues. Following their concerns for our comfort and safety, we were moved to Mushara, less than 2 weeks prior to travelling.

This appears to have been a very good decision - we did pop in to Namutomi to look around and found a real mess of a building site. Mushara was very pleasant - wonderful staff (Vicktoria looked after us extremely well from arrival to check out the next morning), excellent food and good rooms. We would certainly recommend this as a good place to stay on the east side of Etosha." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"This was just an overnight stop but very pleasant. We were as usual a long way from reception and dinner. Still not a problem.

Dinner was excellent and staff lovely. We had hot water bottles in the beds! A rare treat as it was very cold at night." See all these reviews: 26n in Namibia

"Good camp, but away from park gate"

2 nights Arrived 14 Jun 2014
"Excellent decor in the main area and chalets were clean and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff.

For wildlife photographers it would be better to stay within the park as you will get additional viewing time at sunrise and sunset." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
