"Lion camp"
Sandra and David were charming, attentive and delightful as was Matteus who had a wonderful sense of humour. Food was delicious and service excellent. Everything here is done for you. Waterhole attracts resident porcupines.
Tented accommodation was beautiful and lovely to have the bath and outside shower. Infinity pool lovely to look at but very cold! Heard lions roaring in the night and nearly drove over them in the morning on the way out.
The only minor criticism we can think of is the safe needs to be secured to the wall." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

The night game drive was great if a bit scary, despite being told that lions do not try to get into vehicles they were so close at night that you still felt scared - in an enjoyable way!" See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

"Luxury camping"
The local reserve is a bit thin on game, so the afternoon drives on offer are not terribly exciting if you've already been 'in the thick of it' for a few days, although the group who had just arrived were thrilled by a few springbok and kudu.
Excellent morning drive to Etosha, but it seemed to be standard practice to get back to the camp for 1130 and I would happily have stayed all day - indeed we ended up going back into the park in our car ourselves after lunch.
Overall a great couple of days, however, and the food here was probably the best of the trip - would put many city restaurants to shame." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia

Although we had spent two days exploring Etosha on our own, and had been amazed by the prolific game and thought we had seen nealy every species, we took advantage of the game drives from the camp. This was well worth it as the guide knew where and when to spot the game and pointed out a number of species of antelope that we had not previously seen. He was also able to spot lions in the grass which we would otherwise have missed." See all these reviews: 25n in Namibia

The food served was the best we tasted whilst in Namibia.
The two managers who run the Camp were really friendly and welcoming and looked after us very well. The Camp staff were aware that it was our honeymoon and, after we had dinner, on our return to our tent, we discovered that the staff had lit candles all around our tent and had laid out some chilled champagne and nibbles, which we thought was very thoughtful." "Onguma is a great base for exploring Etosha"
Onguma has the best bath towels I have ever used at any hotel. Not only are they huge, they were pure white and fluffy. Marvellous! The duvets and hot water bottles also kept us warm during the night - important at this time of year!
We took a guided game drive into the park, and although we felt we saw plenty of wildlife, our guide was disappointed not to have seen more. The predominance of water at all the waterholes was enabling some of the game to be more elusive, seemingly. It was a well guided drive, however, with a knowledgeable and engaging guide." Not much action at the water hole but it was good to see the porcupine and Giraffe.
Fab food and comfortable lounge to chill with a gin and tonic and read their wonderful collection of books." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia
