"Great location"

2 nights Arrived 12 Nov 2013
"Inspite of the great location we found you have to be prepared for the effort of getting to and from your room The pathways are fairly narrow and uneven with steep inclines in places, the only other means of getting to the restaurants and bar etc are via the golf buggies that shuttle guests back and forth.

A lot of the waterholes had dried out so local sightings of animals were limited." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia

"A wonderful place!"

1 night Arrived 31 Oct 2013
"We had 2 nights at Dolomite camp.

When we arrived at Dolomite camp and saw the surroundings, the lovely cabins and the smiling staff we were all feeling very spoiled. This is a little paradise taking into consideration the remote location and the harsh environment.

Stunning view from the cabins with a lot of animals moving to and fro the waterhole. Day of departure we watched a beatiful sunrise and hearing the bush "waking up".

The last evening when parking the car, a big male lion put his head out of some bushes only 100m away and gave a mighty roar. This was the highlight of our trip and my heartrate was way above avarege during the few minutes he used to walk around us. Guess we blocked his way when he was checking his territory." "What a great start to Etosha."

1 night Arrived 21 Sep 2013
"Arrival at Dolomite camp was a surprise, with all the rooms nestled into the hillside, almost completely hidden. It wasn't the easiest place for the least able in our group, however, the staff made everything possible, by making sure she did not have to walk anywhere.

The rooms were lovely, ours looked down on the waterhole.

Food and service good" See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana; 2n in South Africa

"A great location, with excellent access to water-holes (self driven).

A beautiful camp, but the attitude of some of the staff was questionable. They seemed to be doing us a favour and need a course on customer focus." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Ideal spot for the waterholes."

1 night Arrived 18 Sep 2013
"We did not have to wait many minutes before the golf cart collected us from the car park when we arrived.
We went on the game drive which introduced us to the animals in Etosha; wonderful.

As vegetarians, this was the worst dinner that we had in Namibia!

The tent was very noisy in the wind but comfortable." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Phenomenal location. Service slightly uneven overall but generally very good, including changing tire for us very helpfully and rapidly when we returned with a flat.

Golf buggy arrangement slightly bizarre but added to fun. V exciting spotting rhinos on self drive.

Incredible view from balcony. Best swimming pool." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Dolomite Camp review"

1 night Arrived 28 Aug 2013
"This is another NWR camp that has parking down below the lodge and poor service of pick up and drop off because the person asigned to do pick up has been assigned other duties. It is a long way between rooms so if you arrive while someone else is being dropped off then you are out of luck. Again we had to hike up to this reception area from a remote parking area.

The room was gorgeous. The ride on the shuttle on the narrow side walk was a blast. The driver was very nice too. The food was excellent. I missed having a robe and a blow dryer. We arrived late and left early but enjoyed this place. There were plenty of electrical outlets in the room which was a rarity." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia

"Dolomite Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 15 Aug 2013
"Great location overlooking plains. Always wildlife visible with lions visiting the waterhole twice while we were staying. Rooms very up market and all with great views. Room 13 has good views of the waterhole and two others may have views but I do not think you can book specific rooms.

Bar and pool area fantastic and well appointed restaurant. For us service at restaurant was slow, largely down to the member of staff serving. That aside the food was good and all the staff very friendly and helpful. We would certainly visit again.

Driving round the waterholes was easy and a lot of wildlife seen, especially elephant and giraffe. At the moment you will not see many other cars in western Etosha, although it looks like they are about to open this area up for more tourists." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Amazing location"

2 nights Arrived 26 Jul 2013
"Camp with a amazing location. Watching the wildlife moving around from our balcony was superb. Rooms are clean and lovely.

The children stayed in a separate chalet next to us, the fact they could reach us with an internal phone made it comfortable for them.

The infinity pool and its area is beautiful. Indeed the climbs are steep, but this is part of the picture. Don't go there if you have mobility problems!. The golf cart service works quite fast, but we preferred walking ourself in daytime.

Restaurant is good, the staff is very friendly, the service is varying but nothing to complain about.

The game around Dolomite is excellent and absolute not shy (anymore). The best waterholes are the closest to the camp, so you don't have to drive long distances. A good place to take a day off!" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia
