"A very luxurious, professionally run lodge"

2 nights Arrived 26 Apr 2009
"We always look forward to returning to Mushara! Beautifully located just outside Etosha, it is very luxurious with excellent facilities.

Marc was his usual very helpful self and offered us the free services of one of his trainee guides in the park." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

"Fine dining at Mushara Lodge"

2 nights Arrived 26 Jan 2009
"This is a wonderful lodge in all respects.

The staff are extremely professional and courteous and the whole place exudes comfort and luxury. We were fortunate to meet a lovely English couple who were staying the same time as us and we had two excellent dinners in their company.

The food was the best we had throughout our trip with imaginative, tasty meals." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Mushara Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 31 Aug 2008
"We were made to feel very welcome here - not just by receptionists and management, but by all staff we met. The whole experience was sharp contrast with Waterberg Plateau Lodge.

We chose Mushara as a base for visiting Eastern Etosha, and for this it was excellently placed.

Rooms were well-equipped and very spacious - not luxurious but clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could reasonably ask for - backed by the very positive attitude of staff, and good communal facilities (pool, sitting areas).

We would unhesitatingly stay there again, and would recommend it to even fussy friends." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Mushara Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 8 Aug 2008
"After the rather basic food at Okaukuejo Restcamp it was lovely to have quality food and attentive service at this beautiful lodge just outside Etosha. You could stay here and visit the park.

We had stayed in the park so went to Tsumeb which was a small town with banks, shops and a few museums. Would recommend the lodge - lovely visit." See all these reviews: 20n in Namibia

"Ideally situated for East Etosha"

2 nights Arrived 21 Jun 2008
"The Lodge is ideally located a short drive from the eastern gate of Etosha and we spent a very pleasant 2 nights here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout and both food and service was of a high standard.

Rooms were comfortable and apart from the bathroom in need of some updating, were stylish and modern. The Lodge does offer game drives into the park but we decided to self drive." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

"Not as good as previous visit. Pity."

1 night Arrived 22 Dec 2007
"We stayed here 4 years ago and it was so convenient for Etosha, relaxing, good food etc.
The refurbishment is fine, but there is no atmosphere.. staff can never replace hosts..it doesn't work. People make a place
memorable, unless it is truely exceptional.

The restaurant ..although almost full was like a doctor's waiting room. Also a few people had upset stomaches and it was possibly due to the fact that food is put out to encourage the animals and birds.... Very cute to see them around the pool Maybe.. BUT..We went early for breakfast and there were squirrels eating the cereals..on the tables, everywhere. Then a couple of Hornbills helped themselves to bread etc.

They were shooed off when someone came out of the kitchen and it obviously happens every day !!" See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana

"Mushara Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 16 Dec 2007
"Mushara is a lovely lodge. There was a warm welcome for us and it was clear from the outset that they were a service oriented team. The food was excellent, the staff pleasant and the lovely garden and pool a great place to relax.

On our second night we were entertained at dinner by an impromtu performance by the kitchen and waiting staff singing some of their tribal songs. It was a real treat and gave us another dimention to the african way off life in Etosha." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia
