It's a great way to take in some of the historical sites as well and get a feel for the city's rich and diverse cultural heritage. Start in the historical section of the town centre, seeing places like the castles Heinitzburg and Sander and Christus Kirche, before getting a feel for some of Windhoek's residential areas.

Other places you might visit include the Tintenpalast and the railway station which houses a museum and the old locomotive, Zwilling.
