"This trip was designed to blend new places with old friends and it worked very well. We certainly enjoyed our return trip and it was interesting going back to some of the places we visited last time to see how they had developed.

Etosha turned out not to be as busy as expected and many times we had the pleasure of viewing waterholes alone. With one exception the camps we stayed in did not disappoint and the gravel driving was a feature of the trip not something to be feared. We LOVED Namibia and had great experiences with the sights and the people. We are quite well traveled and feel our Namibia trip really impressed us and we aren't easy to impress. With the exception of Okaukejo our lodging and meals were just wonderful, though lodging and meals aren't why we travel. We travel to experience and touch and be touched by the people of the world. You provided us with such wonderful experiences while being honest about the driving conditions and other things.

I'd also like to mention the other activities we booked:

- Sea kayaking at Walvis Bay with Jeanne: probably the surprise hit of the trip. We had no idea what this would be like, and were all thrilled by what fun it was. Jeanne is such an enthusiastic guide.

"The trip was everything we hoped it would be - and more.

The itinerary worked perfectly - unlike most people we toured in an anti-clockwise direction, with Sossusvlei at the end - and that worked really well for us. There were unexpected highlights too - like our night at the Rostock Ritz in the mountains - which we would never have done without Sabina's recommendation.

We loved Namibia - it was perfect for a family holiday, with sun, adventure, lovely people and epic landscapes.

"it was very well organized in terms of logistics. Given our particular interest, Swakopmund could have been skipped and the stop over in Windhoek reduced. The visit to Bushman land and activities a must . A visit to the Himbas was missed.

Very good choice with the hotels and the lodge in spite of the food. As noted, a 2 W drive car is not recommended.

"1st time to Namibia & Africa for us. Big distances to cover similar to US, Australia etc, so we knew what this entailed. Before we went we got the usual intake of breath from people when they asked us where we were going on holiday and we said Africa, so we went with an open mind and all the travel jabs etc.

The realillty for us was to meet the most friendly local people of any past holiday, experience mostly excellent service and food, see some amazing animals and scenery and feel very comfortable with everything around us. We wanted to go over land as we enjoy the travelling and self driving. This was fun in its self as the roads were mostly totally empty. We will certainly go back again and explore more new places in Africa.

I think for people making their 1st African self drive trip, Namibia is a good destination. The itinery put together by Expert Africa was well thought out, took in all the highlights and made the whole thing work well with realistic driving targets. The documentation that we were sent before hand was well considered and allowed us to make good preparations.

"Nothing much to say other than: it has been several months since we came back and we still get excited remembering our honeymoon.

Everything was worth it and Expert Africa really helped us out. Their suggestions were spot on and their assistance was invaluable in planning such a trip to a destination completely unknown to us.
