"My Jul 2012 trip"
The realillty for us was to meet the most friendly local people of any past holiday, experience mostly excellent service and food, see some amazing animals and scenery and feel very comfortable with everything around us. We wanted to go over land as we enjoy the travelling and self driving. This was fun in its self as the roads were mostly totally empty. We will certainly go back again and explore more new places in Africa.
I think for people making their 1st African self drive trip, Namibia is a good destination. The itinery put together by Expert Africa was well thought out, took in all the highlights and made the whole thing work well with realistic driving targets. The documentation that we were sent before hand was well considered and allowed us to make good preparations.
We would certainly have no problems recommending them to friends or using them again." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip
"We'll return to celebrate some anniversary!"
Everything was worth it and Expert Africa really helped us out. Their suggestions were spot on and their assistance was invaluable in planning such a trip to a destination completely unknown to us.
Our only regret was not having taken more time to see more of Namibia (we wish to go see the Caprivi region and Damaraland). We'll have to leave that for the next time we visit the country!" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip
"An excellent african experience"
"Great holiday"
Thanks very much for organising such a great holiday again!! Totally different from the dry part of Namibia (Kalahari desert, Namib desert, Damara land, Etosha). This time river deltas, water, green, and also many many animals, and again very nice people. Anybody asking us about our two holidays, we suggest to contact Expert Africa and you. Again, unforgettable.
One topic for your consideration: leaving to our lodge near Rundu, we were stopped at a check point just south of Rundu close to an army base. I stopped the front of my car 1 meter past the stop sign. Anyway, the guy made a big point out of it, a second policeman joined him and I had to come with them to a tent next to the road. Supposedly I would get a fine of NAM $ 1500 for "ignoring the stop sign".
I stayed courteous, said that any fine I'd pay at the police station. Anyway, it was an attempt to get a bribe, but in the end I did not have to pay anything. At another lodge, I heard that a few other tourists had exactly the same experience, at exactly the same check point. Not a big deal, but just that you know this happened.
Again Sabina, thanks very much for your help. It was an unforgettable holiday, again!
Kind regards, Elly and Paul Veth." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 7 on a Namibia trip

"My Jul 2012 trip"
All the accomodation that Expert Africa chose for us was extremely good and I would definately book with Expert Africa again. Maybe I would have liked to include a trek on my next trip but on the whole there was something for all the family to do. Namibia was definately a very diverse country to visit with lots to see and do and of course Etosha Game Park to visit.
Feedback on Pelican Point kayaking:
We were taken out with Craig and Bill, his father -in-law, to kayak with the seals off Pelican Point. It was quite a long drive from Walvis Bay but very interesting to see all the salt works and some flamingoes en route.
Kayaking was quite easy to pick up though very tiring and we paddled out past Pelican Point first to try and see some whales. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful but we did catch glimpses of dolphins. We then paddled back along the shore line to see the seals in their hundreds. They were leaping and diving all around us and we ended up soaking wet from their splashing!
This was a great experience finished off with tea/soup/sandwiches to warm us up which was very welcome." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip
