"A little gem in the Delta"
The rooms are huge and very luxurious for the bush, though our room (no 3) was not very light and the deck did not get any sun at all during the siesta period - so was actually quite cold to sit on due to a stiff wind on some days.
As I have commented before, nobody uses the pool as the water is so cold. This is a shame given the expense of installing the facility. Can't it be heated - solar power should not be too expensive.
Extremely nice management team and guides. And we enjoyed the company of our fellow guests." See all these reviews: 12n in Botswana; 10n in Mozambique; 2n in Zambia
The Little Vumbura team commented that as it gets hotter, into September and October, the pool heats up – but they’ll keep the idea of solar heating in mind for their coolest months.
As temperatures pick up (as I write on 1st Oct, they are above 40 degrees C), a slightly cooler, more shaded room will be really lovely – and ideal for someone who is less used to the heat. If you would like to stay in this room, please ask us to request it for you when you book.
