"Home comforts for our first night"

1 night Arrived 5 Apr 2015
"Comfortable, clean and peaceful guest house. We arrived on Easter Sunday night and asked where we could eat - our host told us everywhere was closed... which wasn't the case, we found somewhere easily.

Facilities very good but one small issue we forgot to mention - electrical appliances in the room had euro style plug (like hair drier) but there was no euro style socket in the room!" See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Haus Sonneneck review"

1 night Arrived 28 Mar 2015
"It is a nice place. The family room is basic but comfortbale and spacy. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Close to the place the famous Joe's bar with really good food which is a good start for a journey in Namibia." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Nice quiet corner of Windhoek"

"Easy to find. Comfortable and friendly.

Not very central - Owners recommended not walking into town centre in evenings, so to dine out you had to drive again." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Great stopover Lovely garden & accommodation"

1 night Arrived 23 Oct 2014
"Watch out for the steep ramp at the entrance if you want to keep your exhaust pipe!. Host and staff were most friendly and helpful. Our room was massive with everything we needed and we had our own patio garden. The birds in the main garden were wonderful with beautiful birds of paradise visiting our patio garden. This wasn't just a stopover - it was a bonus! Breakfast was good but there didn't seem to be the "bacon and eggs" option that we found at all other hotels and lodges. One of the party had mobility problems and could not walk far. This was not a problem as the dining area and pool were nearby, there were very few steps to navigate and the large walk in shower with stool was ideal. We did need transport to get to a restaurant for the evening meal." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Lovely owner and pleasant rooms"

1 night Arrived 6 Oct 2014
"Haus Sonneneck was good, the owner was very cheerful and helpful. The rooms & pool were clean.

The taxi number which was provided was very useful and the taxis were very efficient and picked us up from other locations in Windhoek as well." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia
