Adequate room but skinny breakfast

Room was adequate though rather functional. Coffee machine didn't work and nor did the replacement kettle - didn't seem like the equipment was checked. Took the owner ages to find something that worked, though she did eventually.

The breakfast was really mean - tiny glass for diluted fruit juice and the fruit consisted of a plate with (literally) one slither of apple, one grape halved, a segment of orange and a small slice of melon artfully arranged on a big white plate. Limited options for cooked breakfast - one lady asked for an omelette and was told she could have one. Not a place I would return to if other options available, though it was clean.

Did not match up anywhere near to Swakop b+b or Cornerstone, where we stayed 2 years ago. Lacked generosity.

Very Friendly & Helpful Owner

We were welcomed on arrival by the owner who was very friendly and showed us to our parking spot. The guest house is in a gated and secure area and the room we stayed in was annexed from the house, very spacious and clean.

Location is good and breakfast was nice and there's wifi in the reception area. It's not luxurious but the service was excellent. I managed to forget the code to the safe, which was no issue as the owner was able to come and unlock it immediately.

Haus Sonneneck review

Reception could have been warmer: we were sent away for a few hours, because we were too early (which was true). Not what we were hoping for after a night flight with a small child. Aside from this everything was fine (though they seemed more geared towards German tourists).

Room and breakfast was nice.

Home comforts for our first night

Comfortable, clean and peaceful guest house. We arrived on Easter Sunday night and asked where we could eat - our host told us everywhere was closed... which wasn't the case, we found somewhere easily.

Facilities very good but one small issue we forgot to mention - electrical appliances in the room had euro style plug (like hair drier) but there was no euro style socket in the room!

Haus Sonneneck review

It is a nice place. The family room is basic but comfortbale and spacy. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Close to the place the famous Joe's bar with really good food which is a good start for a journey in Namibia.

Nice quiet corner of Windhoek

Easy to find. Comfortable and friendly.

Not very central - Owners recommended not walking into town centre in evenings, so to dine out you had to drive again.
