"Erongo - baboons and wonderful birds"

2 nights Arrived 12 Mar 2014
"We spent two nights at Erongo on the way from Etosha to Solitaire, and it truly felt like stepping sideways out of the rest of the world. You need a 4x4 to drive up to the entrance (or park lower down and catch a ride), and the tented lodges are sited in a valley between three towering koppies that is its own self-contained little world.

The food is excellent, the lodges are incredibly comfortable and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Dinner on the patio outside the restaurant was excellent, and so was a whole day spent lazing and birdwatching. There are baboons in the hills all around and towards sunset they come back from foraging to groom and play dominance games in the rocks all around.

Two days was too short." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Lovely Setting"

1 night Arrived 11 Mar 2014
"Excellent setting, beautiful accommodation.

Loz and Mart knew the hosts from previous encounters - they used to run a lodge in Zamibia.

Not a lot going on, wouldn't recommend the game drive - didn't see anything!" See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia; 5n in South Africa

"Truly wonderful and we had a really lovely time.

They made a real effort to help us celebrate Valentines day and a 50'th birthday.

"Excellent Erongo"

2 nights Arrived 10 Feb 2014
"We loved Erongo and I think we were particularly lucky with Tent 6: a long walk but worth it for the wonderful views. The tents are really roomy and comfortable.

The guides there (we had Kulis - spelling?) are knowledgeable and fun but even the waiters are bird experts.

The evening it rained and rained, a member of staff came up to offer us an umbrella so we could get to dinner. It is a great place for bird-watchers." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia

"Luxury Tents with Views !"

1 night Arrived 27 Dec 2013
"Really worth visiting and we had one of the best tents for views. Good food and a very enjoyable stay, although short.

You really feel close to nature but in a 2WD drive car you have to leave this in the car park away from the lodge and there is no means of contacting them to collect you and your luggage !" See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia; 3n in South Africa

"Wish we had a longer stay"

1 night Arrived 16 Nov 2013
"We only had one night here, and wished we could have squeezed in two nights. We did really manage to take advantage of the 'inclusive' walking and completed two short walks.

The room was great, particularly the shower and the outdoor terrace.

The restaurant/bar area (outdoors) was stunning and a great new addition to the lodge.

Staff were good, and food was excellent. It was lovely to be able to have game cooked as requested (medium rare!)." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia
