"My Sep 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 9 Sep 2013 and 30 Sep 2013
"The advice we received from Gwynneth was excellent (even if we did not always follow it - and in retrospect wish we had). She showed great persistence in getting our places booked, even when they were already full.

When things went wrong during our trip (cancelled booking due to error of local agent) she negotiated on our behalf and we received a very good upgrade. Gwynneth took the trouble of calling us and keeping us well informed through this process.

The whole experience in selecting the itinerary, booking and organising the trip was very professional and from our point of view straightforward. This was our first time in Africa, and the ease of booking (even from Germany) will mean we will look into booking with Expert Africa again in the future." "Fantastic!"

I visited Namibia between 7 Sep 2013 and 28 Sep 2013
"It was an excellent holiday. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat was amazing. All the people that we met were extremely friendly and helpful
I hadn't appreciated that nearly all the roads would be gravel and quite how empty the country is. There are long distances where you don't see another car or anything else for that matter.

This is obviously just our opinion, but we didn't think that the dunes at Sossusvlei were worth the long drive!

We will return to Namibia but spend more time in Etosha." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"'Best of breed'"

I visited Namibia between 5 Sep 2013 and 18 Sep 2013
"This was our thirteenth trip with Expert Africa since 2006 (and we have two more in the pipeline), which speaks volumes in itself.

Once again, we found ourselves well-satisfied with EA's offering and the quality of service (including rapidly finding us overnight accommodation near the airport in Windhoek after a flight delay).

We enjoyed all the camps we went to and achieved most of our objectives (the pangolin, which we had hoped to see as there is research ongoing at one place we stayed, remaining unsurprisingly elusive).

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Keep up the good work!" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"My Sep 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 5 Sep 2013 and 22 Sep 2013
"Outstanding experience fully lived up to expectation. No regrets about anywhere we stayed.

Some of the travelling was tiring but we expected that. Some great roads, some pretty dire, especially western Etosha. People generally very friendly.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Excellent service.
Only (v minor) thing that didn't work out was that our pre-booked seats for the flights didn't materialise." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"My Sep 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 4 Sep 2013 and 22 Sep 2013
"We found that the trip was well organised and most enjoyable and we would have no hestitaion in recommending your company . Our only minor problem was that we had expected lower temperature than experienced. We booked for the Sept period because from information given the average temperature was quoted at 25 C Max (ref: notes for travellers page 13). As soon as we left Windhoek
we were in the high 30's and it then it got to 40+. Are the temperatures quoted for Windhoek? At Vic Falls we saw a weather report and it was 25C in Windhoek but it was 41C in VF.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank your team for all of the support given and we would hope to travel with you again." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia/Zambia trip 2013"

I visited Namibia between 24 Aug 2013 and 12 Sep 2013
"We really enjoyed our holiday and had some great experiences. Driving was a pleasure with empty roads.

Changing money in the banks was not easy and time consuming." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"My Aug 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 22 Aug 2013 and 4 Sep 2013
"Fantastic. Level of driving was just right. The places we stayed were all quite different to one another which added to the overall experience. They were also quite small which was really good too. All the arrangements worked perfectly.

Tracy Lederer was the person who I dealt with. She was fantastic. Really pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Was really impressed.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I was really surprised it was originally suggested that a 'normal car' would suffice. We upgraded to a 2 wheel drive SUV and were glad that we did. While you could have probably done the trip in a 'car' but the chances of damaging it would be quite high due to its low ground clearance. Also, driving along the tracks would have been far from comfortable. I recommend that a 2 wheel drive SUV should be the standard car you suggest." "Serenity"

I visited Namibia between 17 Aug 2013 and 3 Sep 2013
"I wish I can describe to someone how Namibia makes you feel. I can't. All I know is that this place will steal your heart.

I was sceptical about the trip, being from South Africa and not imagining a neighbouring country (and such a brown one) could be better than where I grew up. Maybe its all the lovely places we stayed at and all the wonderful people, but this trip managed to turn into one of the best experiences of my life. I want to go back and be under the endless sky."
