"Our trip to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 16 Jan 2014 and 2 Feb 2014
"The trip was excellent, we will certainly recommend Expert Africa to friends, the work and attitude of Gwynneth was perfect and, as we understand she has recently left the company, we want to wish her good luck for the future. Her planning of the trip was just great, she changed some of our ideas for the better and we are very grateful to her.

As detailed above the car and attitude of Budget was not ideal and this is where these comments may be of help--we should have specified more carefully the car and its style.

Wildlife viewing in Etosha is not supposed to be ideal in January because it is the rainy season. We had some rain but had offset this concern by allocating six nights for Etosha--I could imagine other tourists being disappointed because they expect to see the big five in one day! Please feel free to contact us on any of these matters if you think we can be of help." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"30 day tour of Namibia by 4x4"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 29 Dec 2013 and 28 Jan 2014
"In general this was perhaps one of the most enjoyable and spectacular holidays we have had. We know Namibia quite well so were partly revisiting places we had seen and liked before and partly filling in gaps to see places we had missed before. We were slightly concerned that we needed to maintain a complicated schedule, our trip totalled just short of 6000km and involved staying at 18 different places so there was obviously a worry about what would happen if for some reason we got behind schedule, but the planning was excellent (thank you Sabina) and everything went as planned without any difficulty. So we never found out what would happen if things went wrong! We felt sure in such a situation we would have been sorted out.

Expert Africa's information was excellent (brochure, website and specially prepared information).

We are very tempted to do similar trips with Expert Africa in future." Read full review: 30 nights in Africa; 25 on a Namibia trip

"My Dec 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 28 Dec 2013 and 5 Jan 2014
"We were extremely satisfied with our trip. It was surprisingly easy to travel around Namibia. It was the perfect combination of adventure and comfort. We saw everything we were after. We enjoyed good food, great weather, friendly people.

We maanged to see rhinos (black and white), giraffes, lions, and loads of other animals. Though I have to say - we cheated a little bit and went for a tour arounf the Anderssons private reserve. On the second day we managed to see some lions, rhino, giraffes in teh Etosha park as well, but it was certainly less concentrated and further away than what we experienced in the private reserve.

We were perfectly satisfied with our car (4x4 Toyota Hilux) which seated the 5 of us very comfortably.

If we were to do this again we'd probably skip Swakopmund.

Thank you Tracy for organising this. It was a brilliant holiday! And we're all looking forwards to coming to Africa again!" Read full review: 8 nights in Africa; 6 on a Namibia trip

"My Nov 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 20 Nov 2013 and 4 Dec 2013
"Wonderful trip. We enjoyed everything.

We hope to go again. We would hope to stay at some simpler places in some instances, but this was our first trip and you don't quite know what to expect on a first trip. Overall we have no complaints, just wonderful memories!" Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"A completely underrated country. Visit now!"

I visited Namibia between 9 Nov 2013 and 21 Nov 2013
"Namibia is an incredible country, and I can't imagine anyone not enjoying it. I had very high expectations for this trip, and they were exceeded. The range of scenery was mind-blowing. The country is safe and the people were very friendly. I have recommended this country to so many friends and colleagues. It has something for everyone. I don't understand why there are not more people visiting! Though, selfishly, I am happy they are not - it was incredible having so much open space to ourselves.

In retrospect, we wish we had further two nights in Etosha. We just didn't expect to see the amount of wildlife we did. Two nights in another part of the park would have been ideal. And probably four nights in Damaraland was too much. Though, both places were completely different, so I am not sure what I would have cut out!

We only went to Swakopmund for the kayaking, and I am glad we only stayed the one night. There really is not a lot to do/see in town in our view.

Even though it was the hot season, the dry temperature made it bearable, and it didn't feel like 40 degrees." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip

"My Nov 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 8 Nov 2013 and 25 Nov 2013
"In all, our trip was more wonderful than we had anticipated. The country is just beautiful and we almost invariably found our interactions with lodge staff and other encounters very friendly and helpful. We found the Namibian people to be so soft spoken and gentle and attentive without being obsequious .

The lodges were very clean, well run and some beautifully designed. Driving was easy (amazingly few cars on the road), the roads well marked and the parks organized nicely for self driving. In my ratings of the various accommodations I was grouping B&Bs and lodges separately in my mind and not comparing them so that an excellent in a B&B would have no bearing on the same rating in a lodge.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Your service and help was excellent and could not be improved upon. The one suggestion, however, would be to focus a bit more on the activity level desired by your clients. We would have enjoyed a more physically demanding trip, i.e. more hiking and less driving.

Unquestionably we were fortunate to have hooked up with Expert Africa. Thank you again and again." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"A wonderful and unforgettable trip."

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 21 Oct 2013 and 24 Nov 2013
"The trip was superb.

We are very happy with your recommendations, with your help and with the whole planning of the holiday.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Would be nice to indicate people traveling around Namibia in a self-driving trip the distances between locations.

We knew that and for us it was OK, but I think that for some elder drivers some of the distances between one hotel to the next can be fairly long." Read full review: 34 nights in Africa; 21 on a Namibia trip

"Seriously good. Most enjoyable."

I visited Namibia between 21 Oct 2013 and 7 Nov 2013
"Loved Namibia, particularly its geological diversity. Easy driving. Good food - particularly if you are a 'free-range' meat-eater.

Highlights: walk down the Quiver Tree Gorge in the Naukluft, Sessriem dune walks and Dead Vlei, reptile tracking in the desert, moonlit dinner at Ongava.

Swakopmund rather dull and uninteresting - but we expected this. Enjoyed the tented camps." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip
