"Thank you Expert Africa"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 6 Nov 2011 and 29 Nov 2011
"Expert Africa did an excellent job of organising our 3 week tour to Namibia and Botswana.

You have certainly done your homework and your knowledge of the various locations is impressive. Usually, we book our own trips, but, given the complexity of things in this area, we were happy to let you do it.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

You are already doing a great job. We felt we were dealing with a small friendly company which really listened to us, unlike Abercrombie and Kent a few years ago - that experience just about put us off travel agents for ever." Read full review: 23 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"Better than expected"

I visited Namibia between 2 Nov 2011 and 23 Nov 2011
"Very good. People friendly, service excellent on the whole.

Lots of memories of amazing places and events such as picnic on trip to Dunes from Hoodia Lodge. White napkins and chilled wine

Glad we did it. The roads were much better than we expected and the friendliness of the people who looked after us was really lovely. The trip from Hoodia Lodge to the dunes was outstanding and the yummy picnic under a tree with white wine and napkins will be talked about for a long time.

"A close encounter with the natural world!"

I visited Namibia between 21 Oct 2011 and 8 Nov 2011
"I loved this holiday. The only thing missing was contact with local culture and food, which was inevitable and predictable in such an under populated country.

I wish we had had one more day in Swakopmund to do a pelagic or desert tour or to go kayaking. Mushara didn't add much to the trip but I could have stayed another day at Hoodia or Entendeka, especially if it had been cool enough to walk more.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I found the one night stops less rewarding on the whole although sometimes that can't be avoided. Sabina did a good job guessing our needs from our comments which may have been contradictory at times. Perhaps a very brief set of questions at the start? Sabina was very responsive to our wish to walk and we managed quite abit even though it was very hot." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 18 on a Namibia trip

"A fantastic second trip to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 16 Oct 2011 and 6 Nov 2011
"This was our second trip to Namibia with Expert Africa. After booking a standard itinerary last year, we developed a tailor made itinerary this year by researching lodges/locations on this website and with Gwynneth's support. We initially had difficulty getting the accommodation that we wanted on some nights. Gwynneth was extremely persistent in following up on resorts where we were waitlisted, so that in the end we managed to stay at our preferred choice for all but one location.

We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and pretty much all aspects met or exceeded our expectations. We would have no hesitation recommending Expert Africa to anyone else considering travelling to Namibia.

"Trip exceeded expectations ..."

I visited Namibia between 12 Oct 2011 and 30 Oct 2011
"Trip exceeded expectations which were high anyway. All arrangements worked. Accommodation was excellent.

We had some tyre issues early on which caused us some worry but people at lodges were very helpful and we were soon able to get on with enjoying our holiday.

We had to cancel this holiday last year at short notice and Chris McIntyre was very understanding and supportive especially with insurers. Thanks again to Chris and Sabina for their help and understanding.

WE HAD A BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE - THANK YOU ALL!!!!

"Fantastic"

I visited Namibia between 8 Oct 2011 and 22 Oct 2011
"The whole trip was an amazing experience.

We especially liked Damaraland, Etosha, the sea kayaking (Jeanne was great and very knowledgable) and the cheetahs - the staff there were great as well. Could write tons more!!

"Namibian Dream"

I visited Namibia between 8 Oct 2011 and 30 Oct 2011
"We would recommend Namibia as a holiday destination to anybody! We were there for 3 weeks in order to take in the most of the country. The scenery, people and wildlife did not disappoint. The driving was easy as the traffic was so minimal. Some of the journeys were lengthy and would recommend early starts to achieve them comfortably. Even the gravel roads were easily manageable. We never became lost, had no punctures and no mechanical problems with the vehicle. We had 2 spare tyres, whcih was a comfort as we noticed others who suffered punctures.

All the food was excellent, especially if you like meat. We only had a chance to sample fish in the coastal areas: the fish was world class.
The country is very diverse with plenty to keep enquiring minds satisfied. Would suggest taking the Bradt guidebook as it proved invaluable to us. We had lofty expectations prior to the holiday and it did not disappoint.

Hopefully, one day we will return.

"The Trip Overall"

I visited Namibia between 7 Oct 2011 and 27 Oct 2011
"We have a excellent adventure through Namibia, it was our first time driving in Africa but we did not experience any problems. The trip went like clockwork and we do not have any issues at all with any part of the package assempled by the Namibian team at Expert Africa.

I have created a travelogue of our experience which can be viewed at http://www.photosnapshot.co.uk/Pages/Nam2011Log_1.aspx

When I go back to Africa I know who my first port of call will be to.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The Dolomite Camp is about 100km from the nearest petrol station at Kamanjab, if guests have travelled from Okaukuejo and are spending a few days doing their own safari in the Dolomite area it's possible they may not have sufficeint fuel to make it to Kamanjab, they should be made aware of the potential problem. I was allowed out of the gate to get some fuel without problem.

We did have a bit of a difficult journey in our Toyota Corolla between Uis and Grootberg, the reason was because of the exceptional rains they had in Namibia the previous wet season part of the road was washed away and I had to traverse the uneven river bed for part of the journey filled with big stones. Fortunately I only hit bottom a couple of times but I suspect someone with limited driving experience may have got into difficuty. I don't think a 4 wheel drive is requires but a high base car would have been more appropriate.

Hope this helps." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"This trip was up there with the best !"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 7 Oct 2011 and 27 Oct 2011
"We were impressed that arrangements worked well, especially in the way we were met and greeted. Wilderness Safari flights and pilots were all of a high standard and on time. The lodges mostly exceeded our expectations; we enjoyed excellent game viewing and met some fun people.

The management and the staff whom we met were all very welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic and efficient.
In short, we had an awesome trip ! Thank you." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 9 on a Namibia trip
