"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 30 Jun 2014 and 14 Jul 2014
"EA did a great job of making all part of our trip work smoothly and integrate well.

The only wrinkle was that we were doing Namibia and Botswana, so we worked with two different team members at EA who had experience in each country in the earlier phases of trip planning (good), but neither of them seemed to take responsibility for the overall trip (the wrinkle) until we asked them to figure it out and put one person in charge of pushing things forward." "Botswana Anniversary Trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 28 Jun 2014 and 16 Jul 2014
"A magical trip combining the wonder of Victoria Falls with the splendour of the Okavango Delta.

Beautiful countries, friendly and welcoming people, amazing wildlife and superb service. What more could anyone want!

Thank you Megan for all your time spent advising, sharing, deliberating and finally, once all of our many questions had been addressed, organising such a smoothly run trip. Thank you also to Expert Africa for the copy of Bradt Botswana - essential reading before the journey, and to Nick and the team for rearranging our flights when our itinerary had to be changed due to illness.

We will certainly be recommending Expert Africa to all of our friends.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I cannot think of anything to improve your service but here's a few pieces of information that could be useful :-

At the Waterberry Lodge it's Weaver that has the bath not Swallow.

Tipping is always a difficult and personal issue but we followed and appreciated your advice . However Wilderness Safaris suggest up to three times the amount per person per day for general staff - Chitabe/Chitabe Lediba's guidelines were $10 - $15 per guest per day and Xigera recommended $10 per guest per day. This left us in a quandary! Whilst their service is indeed excellent we found their suggested amount excessive given the already high cost of the stay.

I'd asked about availability of robes in camps prior to our trip and can now happily report back that the above three Wilderness camps all supplied cosy fleece dressing gowns for those chilly winter mornings!

The price of a private vehicle with Kwando does not include a private boat whereas with Wilderness it does." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 14 on a Botswana safari

"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 28 Jun 2014 and 19 Jul 2014
"This was an excellent holiday and very expertly arranged by Expert Africa! Megan was very helpful and efficient throughout.

The safari experience was unforgettable and the Seychelles a lovely relaxing set of islands to visit. Generally everything was of a very high quality and ran like clockwork. The minor glitches were all sorted efficiently and promptly.

We would (and indeed already have) recommend Botswana and the Seychelles to anyone and would especially praise and recommend Expert Africa. Thanks for helping us have a great trip and celebrating a special birthday in style!" Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 6 on a Botswana safari

"Exceeded Expectations!!"

I visited Botswana and 2 other countries between 26 Jun 2014 and 11 Jul 2014
"Went with high expectations and they were exceeded. Tracy really worked hard to find the right lodges for us - and they were great. Game viewing was amazing - friend travelled with was on first safari and certainly didn't expect to get so close to wild life and have so many adventures!!

Relaxing 6 nights in Mozambique at Azura were fantastic for rest and luxurious relaxation.
Thank you to everyone involved.

"Botswana Birthday Trip"

I visited Botswana and 3 other countries between 24 Jun 2014 and 14 Jul 2014
"Overall this was a fabulous safari experience for the 5 of us, three being first time safari goers and two of us being experienced safari travellers. The game viewing is stupendous. The abundance of water from the delta makes for a very different Southern Africa Experience.

Great to see so many Betswanas working in the camps.

Food - we would have like to have had more game on the menu but perhaps this is made more difficult now by the hunting ban in Botswana.

We think that the camps/safari industry in Botswana need to invest in providing WiFi in the camps

Overall we would readily recommend this trip and Expert Africa for organising it - there was not a hitch during the whole trip. Thank you Megan

"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Botswana between 22 Jun 2014 and 3 Jul 2014
"Can be summed up in one word. WOW. That said we have to give a mention to Megan who, from the start, offered advice from her personal experience. Megan took on board all of our requirements and put together a perfect package for us. It was beyond our expectations. We would be grateful if you could pass on our heartfelt thanks to all at Kwando Safari's." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Botswana safari

"Kwando Safari"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 19 Jun 2014 and 2 Jul 2014
"We had a most enjoyable safari, with high standards of accommodation and facilities, including some electricity, without losing the feeling that were were really in the wild.

2370 photos are a testament to what we have seen. Some guides seem to feel that humour is paramount - but we got a bit weary of the same jokes!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

"Our June 2014 trip to Botswana"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 9 Jun 2014 and 19 Jun 2014
"This was the trip we have wanted to make for many years and I found the information regarding Expert Africa in a tour book in our local library. Since then, we have told everyone we know about this company. Every detail was taken care of and the tour was booked according to our wishes.

This was not a tour where we went on a specific route; we decided the area of Africa we wished to visit and what we hoped to see and they could advise us of the places we could stay. In our case we wanted to see elephants and the delta region and this area of Botswana was recommended.

We then checked their web site and decided on the camps. I called Maruska a few times and she was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The book on Botswana was written by Chris McIntyre for Brandt and there was much information on local customs and regions.

If we return to Africa, we will book through Expert Africa again." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 9 on a Botswana safari
